Ayla KavanaghWhite Bean Turkey Burger
These are simple to make. They are great served in a leaf of Boston lettuce or on a bed of arugula/spinach with your favorite sugar free ketchup (Primal Kitchen) or a nice mustard, I added a few grape tomatoes to mine.
Ingredients
Instructions
- Heat oven to 425. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Combine the white beans, 2 Tbsp. avocado oil, and the garlic in a large bowl. Using a fork, lightly smash the beans and mix with the garlic and oil until blended.
- Add the red pepper, almond flour, Worcestershire sauce, eggs and chives. Mix until blended. Crumble the ground turkey and add it to the bowl along with 1 tsp. salt and 1/2 tsp ground black pepper. Gently mix with a fork or your hands until blended.
- Using hands, moistened with water, form turkey burger patties about 3/4 inch thick. Place turkey burgers on prepared baking sheet. Brush light with oil. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until they are firm to the touch and instant read thermometer reads 165 degrees.
- I broil my burgers for a minute or two for desired crispiness on the outside.
