Ayla KavanaghWing Zingers – Reinvented
This is MY FAVORITE wing recipe. Of course, the original has white sugar in it. I remade it to make it healthier. We usually make these on the grill (omit the tapioca flour). But, it was 2 degrees out and I turned the oven on:)
Ingredients
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425.
- Cut chicken wings into 3 sections, if whole. Discard tips. Dry wings.
- Set wings aside.
- In a small saucepan, bring honey, buffalo sauce, ghee and vinegar to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer, uncovered 6-8 minutes.
- Mix seasoning and coconut sugar together, in a large ziploc bag.
- Toss wings with Tapioca flour. Add wings to the ziploc bag. Toss to coat.
- Coat a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place a cooling rack on pan. Spray with avocado spray. Place spiced wings cooling rack and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove wings from oven and toss with Buffalo sauce.
- Turn oven temperature up to 450. Return wings to oven and cook for another 10-15 minutes. I broiled mine for a minute on either side bc I like my wings crispy.
- Serve with approved Ranch dressing and celery.
